After days of carving and sewing, here is 28" Carolina!
She is now finished and looking for a home.

I have a lot more photos of her if you wish to see.
Just click my email address below and request photo and I will email you some more. She so much nicer in person.
I am so pleased with her and I hope you enjoy the photos. She could be a sister to Fanny.
She is full jointed and hand carved from Basswood that grew here on our 200 acres of bush. Her eyes are antique black pupiless glass, and her hair is human hair.
All of her clothing is hand made of antique fabrics and parts of antique clothing that I have collected to dress my dolls.
From her waist hangs a pinball and tiny scissors and keys. Her pocket is made from a scrap of very early hand stitched crewel that I had left over from another doll's skirt. Carolina's shoes are silk, as is her hand stitched corset/stomacher.

Simply amazing! Do you create these beautiful dolls even while you sleep? You're in a class by yourself!!
Just simply beautiful!
Carving definitely is your best medicine... and does much to soothe our souls too.
